Customer portals

A private login where your customers see where their job stands, find their documents and pay what they owe.

Who needs a portal

A portal makes sense once the same questions take up your week: where is my order, can you resend the invoice, did you get my documents. Bookkeepers and tax preparers use portals to collect paperwork. Property managers use them for owner statements and repair requests. Print shops, sign makers and contractors use them to show job progress and get proof approvals. If you answer those questions by email every day, a portal hands that work to the customer.

Common features

Job status

A simple timeline for each job, updated by your team from one screen.

Documents

Upload and download files, with each customer seeing only their own.

Invoices and payments

Open and paid invoices, with payment through your existing processor.

Messages and approvals

Comments on a job, and an approve button for proofs and estimates.

Logins and privacy

Customers sign in with an email link or a password, and each account sees only its own records. Staff accounts have roles, so a technician can update a job without seeing billing. We keep the data you store to what the portal needs, and we explain where it is hosted and who can reach it before you sign off.

Start small

A portal doesn't need every feature on day one. Many start with job status and documents only, and add invoices once the team is used to it. Building in stages keeps the first version affordable and shows which features your customers use.

Questions

Can the portal connect to my accounting software?

Often, yes, if your software has an API or an export. We check this during scoping and tell you what can sync and what would stay manual.

Do customers need to install an app?

No. The portal runs in the browser on a phone or a computer. It can be added to a phone home screen like an app if customers want that.
