Businesses that book online
Booking works for any business that sells time: salons, barbers, groomers, tutors, photographers, studios, cleaners, repair services and equipment rentals. The rules change from one business to the next. A barber needs fifteen-minute slots and a choice of chair. A cleaning company needs a service address, a home size and a two-hour window. A rental shop needs a pickup time, a return time and a check that the item is free.
What a booking page can do
Services and durations
Each service has its own length, buffer time and the staff who can do it.
Calendar sync
Bookings land in Google Calendar or Outlook, and busy times there block slots on the site.
Deposits
Take a deposit or full payment at booking through your payment processor, if you want to.
Reminders
Email or text reminders before the appointment, with a link to reschedule.
Off the shelf or custom
Plenty of booking services exist, and for many businesses one of them is the right answer. In that case we pick one that fits, set it up, and style it so it looks like part of your site. When your rules don't fit a standard tool, such as jobs that need a site address and a travel buffer, or bookings that depend on equipment, we build a small booking app instead. The quote spells out which route we suggest and what each would cost to run.
Rules to decide before we start
- How far ahead customers can book, and how late they can cancel
- Whether you approve each booking or it confirms on its own
- Which details you need from the customer before the visit
- Who gets notified, and how: email, text or both
Questions
Can customers book with a specific staff member?
Yes. Each person can have their own hours, services and days off, and customers can pick a person or take the first free slot.
What happens if I'm already booked by phone?
If you add the phone booking to your calendar, the slot disappears from the site. That is why calendar sync matters more than any other feature.
